Wind energy is a cornerstone of the clean energy movement, and skilled technicians are essential to keep turbines operating efficiently. Our Wind Turbine Technician Training program is designed to provide you with the practical skills and knowledge needed to excel in this dynamic field.
Join the renewable energy revolution with hands-on training that prepares you for one of America's fastest-growing careers.
We focus on the access and egress conditions of working in the wind turbine environment in this training course. Students learn knowledge and skills through practical training. You will learn skills of basic PPE and how to perform at safe work height and safe comprehensive basic rescue from height in a remote wind turbine environment.
The aim of this module is to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries for wind technicians in the wind industry and enable students to perform their tasks and activities in the safest possible way when working in a wind turbine environment.
Construction training teaches you how to spot, avoid, and report the safety and health risks you encounter at work. Our OSHA Construction training ensures you understand how to navigate common job-site hazards so that you feel safe at work. You will also learn about construction-specific safety measures such as the best practices for safeguarding against the top causes of fatalities and accidents in construction.
Students get classroom and hands on practical training methods of dealing with the challenges of working within wind turbine confines spaces. Correct confined space permits and documentation are part of the curriculum as well as skills and rescue devices needed for confined space entry and rescues.
This basic course includes skills verification in class. Students will receive a BasicPlus certificate after completion. An online portion is required to complete before attending the verification class in person.
Working on Towers may put you at risk of electrical injury, it is crucial you stay up-to-date and compliant with the latest safety practices and provisions. Our NFPA 70E training will help to protect lives on the job, reduce injuries, OSHA violations, and liabilities. The expert- instruction in this class teaches you to identify and minimize exposure to shock, arc flash, arc blast, electrocution, and other potential hazards.
This course teaches basic knowledge and skills to prevent to prevent fires, make appropriate judgements when evaluating a fire, manage evacuation of personnel and ensure all are safely accounted for in the event of an unmanageable fire. Student will learn how to efficiently extinguish an initial fire by using basic handheld firefighting equipment.
The aim of the BST First Aid Module is to enable students, through theoretical and practical training, to recognise signs and symptoms of life threating situations and administer safe and effective first aid in the wind turbine industry/WTG environment in order to save lives and prevent further injury, until the casualty can be handed over to the next level of care.
This module teaches students to safely work at heights and perform basic rescues in a wind turbine environment using personal protective equipment. It also promotes safe manual handling and ergonomic practices. The course does not assess fear of heights or aptitude for working at height.
This two-day combined course covers both the BST Working at Height and Manual Handling modules. Participants receive separate certifications for each upon completion.
The aim of this module is to enable students to perform rescue operations, in a WTG hub, spinner and inside the blade by using industry standard rescue equipment, methods and techniques, exceeding those of GWO Working at Height.
The aim of this module is to enable students to perform injured person rescue operations in a WTG nacelle, tower, and basement, by using industry standard rescue equipment, methods, and techniques, exceeding those of GWO work at height.
The aim of this module is to enable students to perform single rescuer advanced rescue operations, in a WTG hub, spinner and inside the blade by using industry standard rescue equipment, methods and techniques, exceeding those of GWO’s BST Working at Heights.
The aim of this module is to enable students to perform single rescuer advanced rescue operations, in a WTG nacelle, tower and basement, by using industry standard rescue equipment, methods and techniques, exceeding those of GWO’s BST Working at Heights.
In this module, students will learn how to perform basic mechanical tasks under the supervision of an experienced technician.
Students will learn how to work safely with electricity under supervision in a wind turbine environment.
Students will learn how to improve the safety and quality of bolt tightening using energy powered tools and accessories in the wind industry. This module covers both how to tighten bolts safely and correctly, and how to plan, document and review of bolt tightening tasks. The module prepares participants for company specific bolt tightening training, through scenario-based training.
Students will learn how to carry out basic hydraulic tasks, supervised by an experienced technician.
The aim of this BTT Installation Module is to enable the students to work safely with basic installation tasks under supervision in a wind turbine environment.
We are partnered with states and other organizations that can aid and assist in funding as well as payment plans.
Through our "ReInVet Yourself" program, we connect veterans with sponsors who cover their tuition costs, ensuring financial constraints do not hinder their transition into the renewable energy sector.
